These instructions are for the Printer attached to the XP machine (but works in reverse as well). ("Stand alone" Network printers can be done slightly similarly BTW).

I discovered opening Printers and Devices in a separate process (with a Shift+right click on Printers and Devices) works - All Printers and devices show up in Printers and Devices now.
